@pushkar Are you mounting fenders on the newer version of the Crosstour? The photos don't show them. Also, what is the option regarding 26x4 versus 26x4.8. Would greatly appreciate your thoughts and input.
Thank you! That was the size I was interested in. For general running on pavement, trails and single track which size (4.0 v 4.8) do you think is preferable?
Yes, it does look like there is really no room for play there. I'll wait to hear if others have a different experience or a small change in frame dimensions on the rear but it looks like you're spot on with that observation.
I have a Crosstour on order with the 26 x 4 tire option. Based on how tight the parts supply seems to be getting, what width tires can I use on the rims that will come on the Crosstour? Am I restricted to just the 4" width or do I have a little room to play?
Looks like only the Ti is available now, if I was running a non-ebike the Ti might look good. With all the grips, shifters, brakes and throttle on the Crosstour, all that lovely Ti won't be seen.
I'm guessing he'll say "yeah, heck yeah, lets go there and do this." Told ya.... Take a look at the Surly Moloco bar as well. I have the Jones H bar on another and while it's nice, it's not all that it's cracked up to be.
Actually, I've moved my order over to the Crosstour. Same specs as before but now I'll have the Kindernay with the Gates Belt Drive from the get go. Combining that with the Dominion A4 brakes so I can stop before rolling into the swamp. I know from your earlier posts that you're looking for...
While only Pushkar can say for sure, I'm thinking an XL with 29's could be accomplished. I think the only limiting factor at the moment is the Kindernay being delayed 45-60 days due to shutdowns over the pond. Might have to make the rear triangle larger to accommodate the larger wheel but, it's...
Actually Reed, I agree with you regarding the riding position and after talking with several people with more knowledge about my intended use they've said to head down the Kindernay path with belt drive now if possible. That said, I've changed my order to the Crosstour. In speaking with...
I do not and Pushkar for liability reasons probably won't comment on it either. The Bafang M620 Ultra is capable with the right power and gearing of exceeding 40 MPH, I've witnessed it.
No idea yet, still waiting for it to be built. I would expect in excess of 30 MPH though. I thought I caught a comment from someone on here that they were going 39 and that pegged their fun meter for the day. I cannot confirm that speed or capability though.
