    Flat pedal (no-pins) recommondations?

Thanks for the suggestions! Funny thing, I had put a set of Race Face Ride pedals on my wife's Levo 5 years ago to prevent her from getting the inevitable leg wounds (she has since decided she prefers city bikes over MTB so I have since sold the bike on Upway). While the MKS models are...

    Flat pedal (no-pins) recommondations?

after giving the Shimano casual flat pedals a few months test, I can say: 1) I don't have any scars as I typically do from the pins on my Crank Brothers Stamp 7 on my Amflow emtb 2) they are comfortable. 3) they don't provide the grip I'm seeking and my search continues for a city bike pedal...

    Como 2022+ Handlebar Question

Thanks to CiscoComo for posting back a couple years ago as after selling my Vado earlier this year, I got 2 new 2025 Como 4.0's (IGH for my wife and standard cassette for me) and of course I wasn't fond of Specialized for making it difficult to change out the stem/bars, but the FSA stem cover...

Is AMFLOW The Thing Or Just A Hype?

Ordered in May from Ronhack - received a couple weeks ago....just before we moved to a new house...so all I've been able to do so far is put it together and transport to the new house. I hope to get it out soon and provide a real review. :)

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Keep an eye on Upway.co If not familiar with them, they started in the EU a few years ago and came to the states shortly after. They buy ebikes from both individuals and dealers - often you will see bikes with zero miles as dealers clear out inventory. Their service is superior. I'm not...

Thule Easyfold XT2 - A good rack for ebikes and the best one if you have fenders

For a thread that started 7 years ago, it still (if not more so) is relevant as step-through bikes with fenders are more and more common. For my fender-less eMTB's I use and love the 1-UP For my wife's fendered step-through Specialized Como and my fendered Specialized Vado, the best option...

    Flat pedal (no-pins) recommondations?

I'm going to try these: https://www.rei.com/product/184901/shimano-pd-ef205-platform-pedals On sale for $24 A decent review from 2021: https://velo.outsideonline.com/road/road-racing/spotlight-shimano-pd-ef202-and-ef205-casual-flat-pedals-review/

    2022 Levo 2.2 motor replacement

Oh that's too bad your local bike shop isn't too "local" and they charge for everything. I've found that with Specialized dealers, they get to chargeback Specialized for any warranty work and parts replacement, so if the noise is consistent, they may just warranty out the motor. It may be worth...

    Flat pedal (no-pins) recommondations?

I came across these Bontragers - they are concaved like a mtb pedal and they are on sale too. https://www.rei.com/product/199270/bontrager-city-pedals

    Flat pedal (no-pins) recommondations?

While I have become accustomed to being semi-locked in with the 5 Ten shoes and pinned flat pedals, the Vado is used mostly when casually riding with my wife on bike paths - paved or light cinder/gravel - no hucking :) So I think some stock take offs from a Como/Vado or a set of new VP-831P's...

    Flat pedal (no-pins) recommondations?

Ah, yes. Great selection. My wife's new Como have those as well. I think when I bought my Vado, I was so used to using my 5 Ten shoes with flat pedals (with pins) that I immediately replaced the stock pedals (which undoubtedly were the same VP-831P's) and regrettably discarded. Thanks for the...

    Flat pedal (no-pins) recommondations?

It's a good thought, while without the pins, they may have even less grip than a flat pedal designed to grip without pins using molded pins, rubber tread or non-slip grip tape. I'll no doubt give the pin removal a try before buying any new pedals, but still curious what others use.

    2022 Levo 2.2 motor replacement

I feel your anxiety and can understand. While e-bike motors are a relatively new invention and one would anticipate a certain percentage of issues/failures that only are discovered with a large number of bikes out being ridden over a period of time, but I would have expected a trusted brand like...

    Flat pedal (no-pins) recommondations?

While I love a good set of aggressive composite and aluminum pedals with grippy pins on my eMTB's, I've also been running the same on my Vado city bike which is in my opinion overkill and I'm tired of the shin and calf scrapes from the pins. What are some favorite flat pedals that people are...

    2022 Levo 2.2 motor replacement

It started as as an occasional knock/clunk and soon became more consistent. With your description, it may be worth bringing it to your LBS to have them check it out and hopefully provide you with some options if it is serious. (warranty replacement, repair/rebuild, etc)
