The way you phrased that makes it sound as if I could recoup all $8100 I spent on the bike should it be fully functional which is simply not true (no matter how “like new” it is). There are no other issues with the bike. It’s simply been sitting around my apartment unused more than I expected...

Yeah, you make a good point. I’ve been putting off getting the bike fixed since I haven’t been riding it, but I just sent Propel an email about the issue. Will report back soon.

Update: Currently working on getting the bike fixed. Will re-evaluate sale after that.

Thanks a lot for your reply! I'm trying to figure out if the Blackburn Bootlegger's mounting system is pretty much what you described in your 2nd option: Their mounting system is supposedly able to accommodate a wide range of bikes: Think that could work?

I realize the suspension fork, disk brakes, and R&M's choice of parts would certainly create some challenges, but would adding a porteur-style front rack — like the Blackburn Bootlegger Front Rack — to my Nevo GT Vario HS be even remotely possible?

I've got a big thermal bag that I'd love to mount on my Nevo's rack. Think I could attach the MIK adapter to it just by making 4 small holes in the bottom of the bag?
