    Orbea Gain E-Road Bike

Hi I just took delivery of a D30 over the past weekend. I havent yet given it a try, but it looks like a million bucks. Nobody ever suspects that its an ebike.

Okay so in preparation for the D30 I went the whole hog and bought the Garmin 1030, smart front light and the radar back light, as well as all the other gear. Its a shame that the Orbea doesn't have native Garmin integration....

I know. These accessories really add up, especially for me as a beginner. It doesn't help that I really dig the sports aspect of cycling and would always rather get the racing versions of anything if i had a choice. I must have spent hundreds already....

    Orbea Gain for commuting?

Yup, extremely new cyclist here. I got all the gear, bib shorts, jersey, helmet, bottle cage, U lock, gloves, MTB clip in shoes. Spared no expense on the helmet and got a Giro Synthe MIPs.

Sounds about right, its about a 1.5 month wait from the order to delivery.

Orbea ship the Gains in containers so almost all of them are pre ordered. I ordered my D30 around end Jan and it arrives end Feb. For my color.

    Orbea Gain for commuting?

No, you're right. Other than the fundamental differences of the tyres and possibly the saddle there is no real difference.

    Orbea Gain for commuting?

Exactly which is why it's the best balance of price and components. I wouldnt go ultegra or dura ace though.

I actually got the D30 which is the most popular one by far.

    Orbea Gain for commuting?

Nah, I didn't pay rrp. Discounts to be had.. But its difficult, as the bikes are almost made to order and there isn't floor stock anywhere.

Actually the pinarello dyodo is the only other bike that uses the iwoc and x35 system. It's interesting as pinarello already had nytro which uses fazua evation.

Actually, is Orbea the only manufacturer using the X35? Surely there are others?

Australian bikes are all limited to 25km/hr, so no chance of anything beyond that.
