My bike is back from the store. New battery (they had a 504 Wh in stock from production year 2021). The wires of the display were not okay (check yours!) and so they replaced the display aswell. Rides like new and I'm happy again :) Hopefully good for another five years😇

Same thing happened to me. Very frustrating that there are no servicable parts inside the batterycase. Hoping for a electrotechnical engeneer who will explore what might be going on. It could be a failing electrical component, worth a few dollars. The batterycells are still okay I believe...

I now think it is also a matter of my expectations. I am from the generation that a bike lasts a lifetime. But this is not the case for ebikes. They last on average for five years, like other electronic equipment (wenn you are lucky). Which brand cares for environment and manufactures bikes that...

Brought my Vado to the dealer this morning. After one hour they called me to tell that the main battery is shot. It cannot be repaired. A new one will cost me 1160 euro's. The bike is only five years old. Economically depreciated in five years! I don't know what to do yet. :mad::mad:

Yeah, I contacted Specialized ridercare and they refer me to the dealer... thnx everybody for your support!

Unfortunately no succes :-(. (not due to protective sticker) messured the new battery and it is fine. Can it be that the display has to be paired again with the motorcontroller?

I'm affraid there is nothing to pull up there. Is it possible that a dead display battery can cause the bike to stall?

Hi everyone, unfortunately I found my bike yesterday evening without its display anymore. I assume vandals took it, cut the wires and turned it untill it broke of. Ofcourse the motor of the bike doesnt run anymore and the lights don't work either. So, I went home through the dark, no motor, no...

My Vado 4.0 had 3 broken spokes so far in the four years I own the bike. Mostly due to bumps in the road in combination with fast riding. I replaced the spokes myself which is an easy job, even when the sprocket had to be removed.

My Specialized Vado 4.0 early model has a 3 LED tail light mounted on the fender. After a few years 2 of the 3 LEDs seem to have died. I tried to disassemble the miniature housing. Inside, after removing some silicon kit, I found a tiny print with 3 LEDs soldered on it. Seems to be nothing...
