HELP - Specialized Vado/Como Battery motherboard replacement.

My bike is back from the store. New battery (they had a 504 Wh in stock from production year 2021). The wires of the display were not okay (check yours!) and so they replaced the display aswell. Rides like new and I'm happy again :) Hopefully good for another five years😇

HELP - Specialized Vado/Como Battery motherboard replacement.

Same thing happened to me. Very frustrating that there are no servicable parts inside the batterycase. Hoping for a electrotechnical engeneer who will explore what might be going on. It could be a failing electrical component, worth a few dollars. The batterycells are still okay I believe...

HELP - Specialized Vado/Como Battery motherboard replacement.

I now think it is also a matter of my expectations. I am from the generation that a bike lasts a lifetime. But this is not the case for ebikes. They last on average for five years, like other electronic equipment (wenn you are lucky). Which brand cares for environment and manufactures bikes that...

VADO or COMO (TCD-W Display Retrofit Kit) (S199900067)

Brought my Vado to the dealer this morning. After one hour they called me to tell that the main battery is shot. It cannot be repaired. A new one will cost me 1160 euro's. The bike is only five years old. Economically depreciated in five years! I don't know what to do yet.:mad:

Thank you Stefan and Bavi! Done! It was a lot easier than I thought. Hopefully a new CR1220 will do the trick.

VADO or COMO (TCD-W Display Retrofit Kit) (S199900067)

I'm affraid there is nothing to pull up there. Is it possible that a dead display battery can cause the bike to stall?

VADO or COMO (TCD-W Display Retrofit Kit) (S199900067)

Hi there, I am trying to replace the battery of my TCD-W but OMG its seems like impossible. There are two versions of this display. Some you just twist of and underneath is a little cap. But not this one. Underneath is a metal spring attached with a tiny screw. Once removed it looks like this...

    TDC-W display dimolished

Hi everyone, unfortunately I found my bike yesterday evening without its display anymore. I assume vandals took it, cut the wires and turned it untill it broke of. Ofcourse the motor of the bike doesnt run anymore and the lights don't work either. So, I went home through the dark, no motor, no...

    Vado broken rear spokes

My Vado 4.0 had 3 broken spokes so far in the four years I own the bike. Mostly due to bumps in the road in combination with fast riding. I replaced the spokes myself which is an easy job, even when the sprocket had to be removed.

Supernova 3LED fender tail light malfunction

My Specialized Vado 4.0 early model has a 3 LED tail light mounted on the fender. After a few years 2 of the 3 LEDs seem to have died. I tried to disassemble the miniature housing. Inside, after removing some silicon kit, I found a tiny print with 3 LEDs soldered on it. Seems to be nothing...

I have it installed since december 2019. And exactly today (a year later) and after 7500 kilometers it turns to be totaly wornout. Super idea nevertheless. My bike is a Specialized vado by the way

This afternoon I removed the lower motor cover and tried if there was any play, but the motor was tight to the frame. Anyway, I torqued the three mounting bolts and put the cover back on and went fot a testride. And Yeah! I am so happy to NOT hear any clicks or ticks or whatever anymore! This...
