I just bought a very similar one this week from Velo Orange (shop discount at work allows me to get one at cost from a company we always order from, luckily).

Interesting fix! I am trying the Velo Orange double "swing" kickstand this week. It kind of spreads out when you kick it down. Both legs are on the non-chain side. Never saw one of these before- didn't know they existed. I will report back with my findings!
