I was able to add a third-party mount for the Varia so I could have a tool/tube pouch under the seat and not have it block the Varia or have it at an angle where it would be less effective in detecting an approaching vehicle.

No light is as effective as having something on the pedals that are going up and down as motorists approach.

I agree tail lights and radar warning systems can be helpful and provide some degree of confidence. I would advice against some of the very powerful LED strobes. They cause visual flare at night that is distracting and makes it difficult for a driver to judge speed and distance.

I just received the Cygolite Hypershot from Amazon...bright is an understatement. At 350 Lumens this thing is a frigging lighthouse! I am actually concerned with blinding drivers coming up from behind.
    Good morning,
I hope the day finds you well. I have a question regarding a box cassette and my bike.

What is going on with the Box? Do you need two turns on the B-screw with a 3mm hex?

    yeah what he said :D
    M@Robertson,
I have a naive question with the photo of the orange bike you just posted. Is this bike a dual motor hub bike? Are the silver components on the front and rear racks the motor controllers? Looks like you have a huge batter system in the center of the frame. Is this a home made battery system or a production battery?

Yes 2wd bike. Rear box is 35a controller in open air for ventilation. Front box is weatherproof 2-5a onboard adjustable charger. Front controller is hiding (and ventilated) in the handlebar bag. Battery is a 14S10P 52v/30ah pack using Samsung 30Q cells and an 80a continuous BMS. Custom by Hi-C Battery in Colorado.
