"What started out as a hobby has now become my life"!
I'm a huge fan of new tech(especially items geared towards our industry).
"I enjoy finding new items(components, parts, accessories), that can be used to create safer, more advanced electric bikes that will provide a higher level of performance and reliability... "Making each conversion/build, better than the one before"....
*While personally being able to test new tech & products to see which will hold up to the riggers and elements of everyday riding, while being able to recommend and provide components and parts that would increase the users experience(depending on what they are using it for and hopefully will allow users from all skill levels and backgrounds, the ability to perform quick adjustments or solutions without having to bring their vehicle to an "Electrical Technician", assuming they have the basic skill set to perform the necessary fixes.
*And being able to offer services that teach new riders how to perform some of the more necessary maintenance procedures, before they become more of an issue!
This includes all categories of riders from the:
-Casual inexperienced rider(That does not care to follow directions, proper technique or maintenance)...
To the:
-Enthusiast(s) that have "More knowledge and confidence(along w/ the skillset needed most of the time)" to get the most benefits from their electric cycles...
And those that possess the confidence(and curiosity) needed to address issues/situations that may arise instantly, while riding "higher-end electric bikes, w/ *Noticeably more powerful systems, on a wide variety of varying terrain, that will test their ability(off-road/Trailside).
***Assuming, that all parties are carrying the proper items(for their specific riding needs), and *knowing how to use some of the tools necessary to fix a potential problem(s) correctly, using what they have on hand to get them safely to their destination.
If/when a New item(s) is chosen to be used in new conversions, they will only be introduced or recommended, after they have been tested rigorously, by my colleagues and myself, in numerous conditions.
And are aware of the type of standards, benefits and limitations each item must be able to meet "to be used mainly with high-powered mid-drive setups"....
Depending on the item this is usually done over the course of 3 to 6 months... And Only then will they be considered for recommendation to certain users or individuals that will benefit from its use and "to others that are unaware of availability and potential"!
My most recent "personal" conversion is a:
-Canyon Neuron AL 2020(custom Flo-yellow paint
-BBSHD w/ a Cycle Analyst V3 DPS and Phaserunner V2 controller(by Grin Technologies)
-52v 15ah super shark pack with Sanyo GA cells
-Magura MT Trail SL hydraulic brakes &
Front 220mm MDR-P rotor/ Rear 180mm MDR-P rotor
-RockShox Pike Front suspension & rear RockShox Debonair Shock
-Racaface Atlas handlebars
-Raceface SL 29" rims
-DMR Stem and Vault Pedals
-Maxxis Minion Tubeless Tires
-Archer D1X Wireless Electric gear shifter
And more...
