70 years. If I cannot put unloaded guns in my truck's rear window gun rack, that is too much oppression.

My fastest setup is not an e bike. Yes it sucks on long hills, but rips on the flats and downhill.

I go 65 mph downhill on my non motorized bike. I also have 40 years of bike riding experience. The problem is high speed with no experience or training.

China tariff is 50%, going up to 80% in a year. Europe, Japan, Taiwan tariff is 15%. US is disengaging from China. That is my point, I never said "Made in USA".

In USA, Taiwan components (Microshift) sell much better than made in China, and the Trump tariffs will doom made in China parts.

I have done that ride, after 85 miles on a recumbent I am not tired from a high pressure narrow seat, standing up to relieve pressure, or for climbs, or bumps. The roadies are. At beginning they passed me. After halfway I was passing them. All the standing takes extra energy.

Same as upright bike if you stud the tires. Bob Fourney put studs in his Lightning tires and rode it thru Colorado winter.

You are not a TDF rider. Watch video above, when amateur riders stand to try and keep up with recumbent, they slow down. Standing is great for sprinting or short hills, but after 1 minute forget it.

Standing is a disadvantage on long climbs. You use more energy and cadence is too low, inefficient.
