Review of the 30+ MPH Juiced HyperScorpion electric moped

Ah, good call. My Ortlieb trunk bag won't fit those wide rails, but I see how the long straps on this one would work. Thanks!

I just picked up a used one, it's fun! Does anybody know what bags fit on the rack?

    Lookiing at a Demo 2018 Xduro 7.0

Riv is out of stock (as usual), but you should be able to find one somewhere.

    Lookiing at a Demo 2018 Xduro 7.0

He's saying they sold you a well-used bike as a demo, which is a little shysty. But you know its history and they say they'll back it up, so you made an informed decision. Twofish makes this doohickey. I don't know where you would mount it, but there must be a spot somewhere on that bike where...

    Lookiing at a Demo 2018 Xduro 7.0

I feel the same way about frame size. I'm 5'-7" and just picked up a used L 2015 Xduro RX29 hardtail with the Bosch motor. It's probably too big as a hardcore mountain bike cuz limited standover clearance, but man I love the stretch to the bars..it feels like I could ride it all day. I did...

Help...Deciding on which dongle to buy..

My memory is a bit vague on the procedure now, but I don't think I had to pull a crankarm. If it's necessary you would use a normal crank-pulling tool for square-taper bottom brackets. Most of the job is removing the plastic bash plate and pulling bolts so the motor will pivot down on its rear one.

Speed Hacks (Modifying a Speed Governor)

Nope. I already degoverned my Haibike, and my folder with BBS02 is borderline too fast for the platform. I'm thinking about pulling the motor and putting it on a more stable big-wheel bike.

I hate wearing a helmet on ebikes and I found articles online saying helmets do more harm?

The full-face downhill mtb helmet sounds like a good idea for 35mph and higher speeds. Or get a regular bike helmet and slow down a bit: It's great to have the power available, but hammering at those speeds all the time really makes me think you'd be happier with a scooter and a motorcycle helmet.

    mid drive w/ throttle ?

That dumb comment was a response to me saying months ago that mid-drives don't need a throttle, which he interpreted as "shouldn't have one." That wasn't what I was saying (I still don't think mid-drives NEED throttle), and I mentioned later in the thread that I now have a BBS02 with one. To say...

    Are throttles the devil?

It bears repeating. Mid-drive bikes with throttles are a very new addition to what for most people is a new experience..ebikes. My experience as a newbie scanning ebike forums is they ALL have a large contingent of newbies reading. These folks need to learn how to operate throttles on a...

    Are throttles the devil?

I definitely DON'T think it's obvious, and anyone who owns one of these systems needs to be reminded to downshift and use the pedals as well as throttle when crawling around at stop/start speeds. I started with a torque-sensing mid-drive sans throttle, and still ride the BBS02 most of the time...

    Are throttles the devil?

There's a guy at Bike Forum that keeps invading threads with his "no throttles" manifesto..I think they finally banned him. I have a Haibike with PAS and a Luna-built BBS02 folder with PAS and throttle. I like both.

    mid drive w/ throttle ?

Sort of, maybe, but it's not a plug-and-play operation. You're best bet, IMHO, if you don't want to build a bike is to look for a Bafang mid-drive-with-throttle model like the Biktrix Monte 1000, or a bike put together by Luna Cycles. I have a BBS02 folding bike from Luna, and it's pretty sweet.

    mid drive w/ throttle ?

I believe I said earlier in this thread that I didn't think a throttle was necessary on a mid-drive. Then I bought a Bafang BBS02-kitted folding bike with throttle. It's quite handy, especially when you need to move fast in a dicey situation. Wrong, I was. I like it.
