Larger wheels will get you over bumps a little bit easier. Larger wheels take more energy to accelerate. Probably not an issue with an e-bike, though.

If money were no object, I would happily buy a Pedego (either the fat tire model, or the mountain bike). However, if money is an issue, then I would probably look elsewhere. Don't get me wrong - I loved the feel of both the Pedego models I tested. However, is that feel worth another $2,000+...

I have used a variety of locks over the years, and I'd run with a really good Kryptonite style U-bolt lock, with a chain like the Mastiff to secure the wheels. Heavy as hell for hauling around with you, but you could always leave the lock and chain on a rack near where you work or go to school...

I'd be riding around town, which is quite hilly, and on some trails. Or, hopefully on some trails - not sure on the legality of that at the moment. I'm keeping it on the up and up - 500 watt motor and top 20 mph speed limit, as per the laws here in BC.
