Turbo Vado 5.0 Modification for Bad Shoulder

I've got a 2018 Turbo Vado 6.0, and broke two vertebral discs in a ski accident. After surgical replacement of the discs, riding my bike was painful. I wanted to raise my handlebars or tilt them back. My dealer was unable to do either, but offered me the option of swapping out my handlebars...

My 2022 Turbo Vado 4 Review.

I had the same issue with the front fender hitting the wheel on my '18 Vado 6.0. On my bike, there are two thin arms that connect the rear portion of the fender to the front shocks. I was able to loosen the crews, re-center the fender by pulling on one of the arms, and then tightening the...

An easy and expensive mistake: Vado Battery Related

Yep, same thing happened to me. I accidentally touched the charging port with the battery release key. Since then, my battery won't charge more than 93%, and if leave it plugged in the charge level drops a couple of percent each day.

    Narrower tires for Vado 4?

Thanks, that’s good info. And yes, those tack thorns are the worst!!

    Narrower tires for Vado 4?

Luto, are the ultralight tires more susceptible to flats or punctures? Especially with the Vado's weight I'm hesitant to trade performance for reliability. I ride on both streets and forest preserve trails and have (thankfully) yet to experience a tire issue.

    Vado SL 4 Turbo died

Stefan, not sure if you were responding to me, but I meant just to use the key to unlock the battery pack, remove it for a moment and then reinstall it. Also wipe the contacts on the bike and battery a bit just to ensure they are clean.

    Vado SL 4 Turbo died

Try removing the battery from the frame and then reinstall it, just to be sure it's seated precisely. sometimes if you get a slight misalignment of the battery the contacts don't make a good connection. It's worth a shot.

    BLEvo app working on Vado!!

Stefan, that's great to hear. I'm going to contact my LBS where I purchased the bike and try to arrange this work in the off-season. Many thanks, Ike

    BLEvo app working on Vado!!

Thanks Stefan. Is that possibly a "do it myself" item or can my LBS do it? I'm not familiar with the TDC-W display but I'm open to making the swap!

    BLEvo app working on Vado!!

This looks like a very interesting App. I found the App on the iPhone store page, can anyone point me to a good spot that explains how to connect the App to my '18 Turbo Vado 6? Thanks

    Do you break spokes?

I've been riding my '18 Vado 6 for three years hard and have never broken a spoke. I ride primarily on forest preserve trails.

Ever take your Vado off road?

i ride mine daily on gravel forest preserve trails, no issues at all. As the prior post noted, I wouldn’t use mine like a mountain bike. I’ve also ridden the Turbo Levo many times, which is fantastic on mountain bike trails.

Playing with Mission Control makes it feel like a new bike

Stefan, do you know if anyone has been able to get Mission Control working on the older 2018 Turbo Levo bikes?

    Vado 5 charging question

My 2018 Vado 5 charger acts very strangely. If I unplug the charger as soon as it's fully charged, all good and the battery remains full. If I leave it plugged in overnight or longer, for some inexplicable reason the battery will drain power. I would often find it between 85-90% after an...
