I've had one flat on the Homage JW rear tyre at about 2,000km (it looked like half a staple caused the flat). Now at 4,000km with none since. My Gazelle has 14,000km running the same set of Marathon tyres, and I haven't had a puncture yet.

I should have been clearer - it automatically shifts when moving at very very very low speed. Almost at a stop, but not quite. I don't think most people would be rolling as slowly as me, so would never notice the problem.

The Rohloff handbook says it "will automatically shift upon coming to a complete halt". I've found that when it is working (lol), it downshifts prior coming to a halt. Which has caused me issues when rolling slowly towards an intersection waiting for a clearing of cars, the bike then tries to...

Four weeks later and the new shock has been installed. R&M are in no rush to send out replacement parts.

It's not the same sound pedalling backwards as when pedalling forwards, and as I said, it doesn't happen every day. I'm not sure why the motor makes different sounds depending on its temperament. I will attempt to record it one of these coming days.
