It is the DHAG!!! It could also be a very common assembly flaw. Young guys will put pliers on shift housing zip ties and sinch them down...

+1 on the derailleur hanger. Swapping out the rather flimsy OEM hanger on my bike with a quality one, made a big difference. I improved...
