    Rear fender removal on Superdelite?

It did work, but ended up needing to modify, making the spacer wider, groove deeper, and creating an additional indentation to adjust for support hardware. I posted photos and more detailed explanation under a different thread...

    Superdelite Bike Carrier (Thule Towbar?)

I bought a pricey 1up with a ramp, which seems very well engineered. The problem is that the 1up's lock down arms are meant to lock down on tires, not fenders like the ones on the Superdelite. To address the problem I made a spacer from scrap wood that slides between the fender hardware...

    Rear fender removal on Superdelite?

Machokie, fyi... I found out a way to avoid loosening the rear supports on the SD and still use the 1up rack (keeping the fender on the Superdelite). The solution should make loading and unloading very simple (without re-adjusting the fender supports). I put a groove in a piece of scrap wood...

    Rear fender removal on Superdelite?

Thanks very much for this and the link! (and I wasn't aware that 1Up sold a fender cushion). I'll try your approach and figure that Plan B will be removal of the fender.

    Rear fender removal on Superdelite?

Thanks for this, Alaskan. I now see that I do need to remove the rear wheel. Now just need to figure out how to do this without a rack. Will need to improvise. M: I just received the a 1Up rack, put it on my car, and don't see a way to mount the bike on the rack without removing the fender...

    Rear fender removal on Superdelite?

Has anyone removed the rear fender on their Superdelite? Are there problems that I should anticipate before trying? If so, any recommendations about how to proceed? I can see a number of possibilities... thanks in advance for any advice.

    Superdelite Bike Carrier (Thule Towbar?)

I ended up with a 1UP hitch rack -- pricey but seems very good except: I need to remove the rear fender on my Superdelite, since the mechanism on the rack is to hold the two tires down by swing-down rack arms. I can do without the rear fender. Does anyone know about best practices for fender...

Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

yeah... I expect that you're right about the Rohloff. An aging body and a less maneuverable bike is leading me to tailor my riding ambitions to somewhat better groomed fire roads (at least on steep grades) and touring through the SF Bay area with its extraordinary geography (and wine country). I...

Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

for me the 30%+ grades are short parts of mountain bike trails in the East Bay (of the San Francisco Bay area). I get grade information from Komoot. An additional problem for me (and my recent fall) is navigating small boulders on the steep upgrades.

Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

Only somewhat related to prior posts... About a week ago, I finally received my Superdelite with the vario belt gearing, GX, and smartphone hub. My intention was to use this about 50/50 for touring and riding on fire roads (sometimes quite steep (30%+ grade) and occasionally quite rocky (with...

    Superdelite Bike Carrier (Thule Towbar?)

Thanks very much for this post. I've done a good deal of 'googling' and this company/rack never appeared in my searches. In fact, the rack in your description and the documentation on the site (which is impressive) looks perfect for my needs. I didn't see the ramp/handle that you referred to and...

    Superdelite Bike Carrier (Thule Towbar?)

Hi, Unfortunately, the e-Sorpion 2 BuzzRack isn't available in the USA (no BuzzRacks are). Any others who use a rack that works with their Superdelites?

    Superdelite Bike Carrier (Thule Towbar?)

REI has a great return policy, so if the frame presents a problem, I'll return the rack (assuming that the back order comes through). If/when the Thule rack arrives, and when I receive the Superdelite (hopefully in a week or two), I'll post an evaluation. In the meantime, if others have better...

    Superdelite Bike Carrier (Thule Towbar?)

I recently installed a tow hitch on my RAV4, anticipating the delivery of my Superdelite. I did some online searching and found a Thule rack highly recommended for 65lb e-bike: https://www.rei.com/product/130411/thule-easyfold-xt-2-bike-hitch-rack. One of the features is that the rack includes...

Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

Thanks very much for this, David. The numbers and your experience make the comparisons clear and useful, at least as far as choosing an option on the SuperDelite goes! I had ordered a SuperDelite with the Enviolo with plans for steep grades on dirt roads, and worried that I'd made a choice that...
