    Shimano Inter-5 vs Enviolo

It does have a higher ratio than the shimano, so possibly it would smooth out the cadence at the hills, but my experience is enviolo’s 380% ratio isn’t aimed at really steep places. A 14er hub like the rohloff, or shimano 8, would really be the ticket for that. (As you say, just a step or two...

    Shimano Inter-5 vs Enviolo

if my hills were all just short and irritating interruptions in a generally smooth ride, I’d just jump the assistance level way up to deal with them and go back down to lower motor power when I was over the hump, as it were. The high motor assistance will get you over the hill more reliably than...

How Many e-Bikes do you have and ride ??

Two (2): the first was converted from my Priority Continuum Onyx using a C1 kit and rides mostly like an acoustic bike with some help for hills and shorter distances. Weighs half as much as the Nevo. Second is a R&M Nevo Automatic that has a bit more oomph and definitely shouts it’s an ebike...

Longshot: RAL color codes for red R&M frame enamel?

Sure, and that’s a customs issue. But there’s ways to properly and legally ship hazardous materials. Art suppliers do it all the time. So someone is making that calculation that it’s not profitable or is too inconvenient to do so. Which I get. Red tape can be a huge hassle. At that point though...

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

Which variant did you use? Off road or small tire? I’m not running tubeless currently, so in tubes maybe it functions better? Not to discount your awful experience, but since theres a lot of folks who’ve had great luck with FO (presumably the old formula not the QS) and I wish I knew what the...

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

FlatOut has apparently released a new bike-specific formula last year, beyond even the “will work on fat tire bikes” Sportsman. Seems it’s called FlatOut QuickStrike Small Tire and it says good up to 1/4” puncture with same lifespan as old FO formulas. There’s a 1/2” sealing QuickStrike Off-road...

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

That’s an interesting point. With tubeless setups and fat tires, I imagine many are running sub50 psi. Anyone else used FO on 50-60 psi?

Longshot: RAL color codes for red R&M frame enamel?

Yeah, that’s what I’m afraid of. Thank you so much for getting back on this. I would presume a body shop is going to need the whole bike to do that. Either to scan or eyeball it with swatches. Never done that before for a car, so I don’t quite know how it works. Sigh. What a frustrating and...

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

Thanks for the insight! It’s quite helpful. New bike arrives next week and I’m about to get the sportsman flat out ready for use.

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

If you don’t mind the ask: How much flat out do you put in your non-fat tubed (and tubeless) tires? Their own recommendations seem VERY high for volume of sealant to inject, compared to Stan’s or Orange, etc.

Redshift Shockstop Stem - Buying Used - ID help please

YMMV but I didn’t even need the plastic tool for the wedge as long as I used a bit extender or a long Allen wrench. Also mainly because mine didn’t come with the tool.

Redshift Shockstop Stem - Buying Used - ID help please

Looks right enough to me. I bought a used +30 a while back and it had almost nothing except what was inside, so I ordered a new elastomer set from redshift. Everything else sort of comes on it, as long as it’s already assembled. Make sure the lock washers for all the bolts on front and head tube...

Would be great to hear whatever they say! Thanks.

    Two E-bikes?

Well, we have two because there’s two adults here. One is a converted Priority and the other is a R&M Nevo3. Did you specifically mean singletons who own two / folks that’ve got two per person?
