I'd leave it off. It will wear out faster, then you can replace it with the assembly.

Buy another freehub body, or run without.
I have no idea how to source those things.

Any idea where I can buy dust cap for this freehub? I swapped out a 7 speed for 8-10 speed freehub but it didn't come with a dust seal...
