Bafang Ultra Motor (M620) Ridden Very Gently for 3,000 Miles - Service Required or Not Necessarily?

I think you can mail them out to a couple of places but you would still have to remove the motor, if you cant flip the bike over then call a friend/relative or neighbor or whatever it takes. Finding a LBS is always the best option but that is not easy for an E-Bike in general and it is...

Bafang Ultra Motor (M620) Ridden Very Gently for 3,000 Miles - Service Required or Not Necessarily?

If there is no issue dont worry about it, in the meantime while the motor is working fine start watching Youtube vids on how to remove the motor and oil your gears. Purchase the 3 or so tools needed for the job ahead of time this way your ready when it happens. re-grease is not super difficult...

Bafang M620 Ultra motor broken? Low torque problem. Best retailer for US?

If the original motor still has low miles this is no question the rout i would take before shelling out for a new motor, just saying that is a big price difference.

    Will you choose it?

No middrive, some companies fashion the controller box to look sort of like a middrive, not sure why? My advise to OP is to buy an actual Middrive powered Fatbike. I love fatbikes because i can commute with them and also blast over debris and ride through the thick mud and gunk we have on the...

I think I understand New York's ebike fire problem a little better now.

I know the people who purchase and ride Arrow bikes daily in NYC and i can tell you that it would not matter what bike they were using, results would be the same. The way these people handle their bikes is absolutely mind blowing, some of them have zero knowledge on how to properly operate or...

Bosch, Shimano or Bafang motor on etrike?

Bafanf produce several motor that are torque sensor equipped not cadence, obviously this depends on the motor model. I have seen trikes posted on this site with bafang M620 motors and that is a Torque based motor

Long Range e bike riding, what I have learned

Some maniacs on this thread, i love it! My longest ride was only 60 miles and my butt was pretty much done for the day, if i had been riding my most comfortable bike maybe i could have gone another 10 or 15 miles, maybe.

    Your thoughts and suggestions

BBSHD is great motor, its powerful but you can always just turn down the pedal assist, that said you would still have a bike with no suspension and a cadence sensor. I think for a 77yo rider you would do better with a purpose built E-Bike.
