I got a basic 26” Townie 7D and converted it with a tongsheng motor. I did put a Pedego seat on it! It fits me perfect! I love it!

Update! The display was bad! Took my bike out for the first time on Saturday… a lovely ride in Santa Barbara! It was perfect!

I’m glad you were wrong too 😆. In all fairness, I did research them. They were mentioned several times on this forum.

PSW has been great… very responsive to my emails. They are sending us a new controller and display. I’ll let you all know how that goes!

Thanks everyone for all of your support and feedback. My husband is a very determined (stubborn) guy and tends to not stop until the issue has been resolved. Obviously he is not a bike mechanic and this is his first time opening up a Tongsheng motor. His expertise is cars, not bikes. Shipping...

I am done with this crap. I am just gonna ride this thing without a motor. It will be good for me anyways... More exercise. HAHA

battery now reading 54V checked continuity of all the wires in the motor and they checked out fine. no 5 volt reference on red on the motherboard. on the controller- only 3 of the pins have voltage.

Looks like we have no reference on #6 (red) and no battery power on #1 (brown) on the wire harness. It’s an 8 pin battery is charging… already up to 50V.

bought It locally and it has a warranty.

its a 48V battery and 48V motor. And I guess I should have specified the battery display was still showing all bars 🙄
