    Stromer Service and/or advice needed.

Here's my experience with repairing a Stromer ST2s, it took a very long time to get it resolved. It all started out with a simple flat rear tire. As a former professional motorcycle mechanic, I have no problems with flats, so I was able to pull the rear and be very careful with the wires to...

Stromer ST2s Error Code Assistance? 0X21005

I had a soft and spongy front brake on my ST2s, however bleeding it solved the problem. Its a bit more complicated to bleed these brakes than cars or motorcycles as it requires two syringes to do it, but it was mostly just messy rather than difficult.

Stromer ST2s Error Code Assistance? 0X21005

I had some time to work on the ST2s today and haven't been successful in getting it up and running. A little background - I'm a fairly decent mechanic having worked at several motorcycle shops and do most the maintenance on all my vehicles, however troubleshooting electrics on most anything is...

Stromer ST2s Error Code Assistance? 0X21005

Sorry, Ravi - not familar with @lilrich ? Have additional contact information? I did try the loosen rear axle, reset and then correctly torqued (bought a bike torque wrench) to no avail. Also went into the SERVICE menu and the bike is loaded with errors and failures. At this point I may...

Stromer ST2s Error Code Assistance? 0X21005

Had a rear flat last fall on my ST2s and had to put in a new rear tube. I was very careful removing the rear wheel and the sensors, however I did not have a torque wrench to 20 NM for the rear axle so took a guess on that (which apparently one is not supposed to do). The bike was fine after...

Known Issues & Problems with Stromer Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Loctite is a brand of thread locker, and the most common one out there. It's had replaced lock washers in the bicycle and motorcycle industry which saves weight and prevents the fastener from backing out. It's in liquid or paste form and reacts with air to dry in the threads of the fastener...

Error code after changing rear tire (flat)

Picked up a nail, so new tube time on the rear of my ST2S. Not too bad on the tube change, I did of course have to pull the electrical connector to the rear hub with is a on "D" ring. Got it all back together and everything works fine EXCEPT .... When I turn the main power "Off" on the bike...

Known Issues & Problems with Stromer Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

it's not the screws themselves, you don't need stronger ones. What you DO need is Loctite Blue (do not use the Red). A drop on each screw and it won't ever back out again.

    Bike work stand

One more thing I did to get the bike up - installed a pulley system. Works really well, just hoist it up to the height you want, then clamp it. Reverse to remove. These are too heavy to lift one-handed and clamp comfortably, so this does the trick.

    Best dual-suspension trail bike...

Yes! I was pretty active in the St Louis MO region. Used to race Husqvarna's, '68 360 8-speed, '70 400 Cross (Remember the movie On Any Sunday?), then a '73 250 CR. While those were my race bikes, I was a Mechanic at Surdyke Yamaha and had a TY250 to play around with Trials riding. Also...

    Best dual-suspension trail bike...

My son rides a Pivot 429 Trail and its a wonderful MTB. I decided to buy the Pilot Shuttle based on how great his bike is, but you are correct - its not coming to the USA, Europe only. So I went with the Specialized Turbo Levo FSR 6 Fattie, and its just the coolest bike - I really enjoy it...

    Bike work stand

I spoke with Mike at Park Tools last week, and he said for E-Bikes he recommends the USA-made PCS-4 ( $ 270 at Amazon) as its more rigid than the 10, and though its not as portable, has the same wide clamp as their top-of-the-line $ 2,000 motorized unit. I tried one and it arrived today, first...
