The rack is bolted in to place and nicely reinforced making the rack's limit good up to 50 Kg. (110 lbs.), although on the Ridge Rider around 80 lbs. is about as high as you'd want to go. The rack is made by Axiom, to get this specific model, you would need to contact Pedego Tech Support, they...
Motor cut outs are not strictly a user decision. Some states coast to coast have laws requiring motor cut outs when the brakes are activated.
Georgia law for example states, "The electric bike may not exceed 20mph and must disengage the engine when the brakes are applied."
In California...
Wow. Sorry about that. I just posted an extensive but amateur Ridge Rider review on the Pedego forum of this site. I am approaching 300 miles, all is going well.
Amateur RIDGE RIDER ON THE RIDGE REPORT: Approaching 300 miles overall. I have finally had my Ridge Rider in the mountains for the last two days instead of on the road. Whilst my battery recharges again, I'll make these general observations while saying my overall satisfaction at this price...
I ride a Pedego Ridge Rider and on torque sensored power assist level 2 (of 6 total), I get 45 to 52 miles on a 14 ah battery generally maintaining a speed of 19 mph without too much work. That really is all I have ever needed; however, if Pedego made another optional battery in the 20 ah range...
Bosch, the Stuttgart, Germany company may be focusing on the European market where the e-bike market is massively larger than the American market. In Europe the middling battery on the Trek bikes would be adequate as motors generally can not exceed 250 watts and therefore don't need a monster...
My Pedego Ridge Rider is 10 in the rear and two at the crank for twenty gears.
My Trek traditional Domane SL 6 is 50/34 at the crank and an 11 speed cassette.
Congratulations. Really one of the most visually stunning ebikes on the market and looks like a bike (as opposed to tilting towards looking like a moped from the future like some of a certain Swedish company's excellent offerings). Love the suspension. Since you mentioned range please let us...
I won't be on the bike until Tuesday. But I can tell you I'll get power in a high gear in 2 or 3 at that speed because I ride there frequently. One thing to watch is the power doesn't come immediately, there can be a delay, then you can hear and feel it kick in.
Yeah, that doesn't sound right. I've not had a problem getting the power to kick in at any level, and it comes on relatively quickly in 1-4. The harder you pedal in 1-4 the more power you should be getting. I've ridden two Ridge Riders for pretty good distances and they both operated exactly...
