New Neo Jumper owner from Kentucky - intro and questions

Still going strong here in Kentucky. The bike has over 1200 miles on it and has been free from problems. I've changed the handlebar setup entirely since my last post. Now, I'm running a 120mm parallel stem with a Soma Sparrow handlebar to get myself a bit lower on the bike. I've moved the...

New Neo Jumper owner from Kentucky - intro and questions

I've finished wrapping the bike and both batteries. I changed out the saddle and rear light attachment while I was at it. I enjoy the clean lines of the finished product:

New Neo Jumper owner from Kentucky - intro and questions

I have decided to get rid of the red and black stripes entirely. I bought a roll of vinyl from the sign shop and started wrapping the rear section of the frame. Judicious use of the hair dryer and x-acto knife have paid off so far, but this will be a slow process.

Nitro 48v battery on Neo 36v bikes.

My experiences are consistent with 1-3. Regarding number 4, my Neo Jumper seems to be fine at 30-31 mph whether or not the suspension is locked out. I will be more mindful of the inaccuracy of the battery meter the next time I ride, when it got to 1 bar today, I was pedaling without assistance...

I'm glad you like them! Do you mind posting some pictures and details about your light setup? I think we both have a PDW Danger Zone taillight, but your front setup is definitely a lot different. I've got an FSA Control Center in the mail for mounting lights up front. I've done away with the...

I'm completely satisfied with the Holy Rollers. Mine are the 2.4" variety, although the actual measured width is between 2.25" and 2.3". Since you are commuting with a bus, you might also consider going with a narrower handlebar. I did away with the standard riser bar and swapped over to a flat...

New Neo Jumper owner from Kentucky - intro and questions

Thank you! The tires are a better compromise for the places I usually ride. I have no idea what brand vinyl the shop used. They had to order the red to get the colors to match. I think they stock 3M and Oracal products. I had ordered a sample book of vinyl from Oracal, but it never arrived for...

Last one! Here's where it lives in my office when I use it to commute. So far, no one has recognized it to be an electric bike.

$26.50 to a local sign shop for vinyl camouflage. The battery with the logo is the original 36v Neo Jumper battery, the battery without the logo is a 48v Nitro City battery in disguise.

    Spare Battery Carrier

I'm looking for a better solution to carry a spare battery on the Neo Jumper. I used a backpack for 25-30 miles last weekend over gravel and had sore shoulders the next day. I was wondering if a large handlebar bag might suffice, or perhaps a triangle frame bag flipped upside down so that it...

    "No Electric Bikes Allowed"

So far, I haven't had a single person recognize my Jumper as an electric bike unless I told them myself.
