I can't believe how lucky I am that it didn't crack the top tube at the same time. I could have easily been hit by a car in a crash like that.

Weight limit of the bike is 330lbs. I'm 165 so no issue there.

That would make sense, but it's actually snapped in front of that cut out by about 1/2 inch.

Thanks for all the responses! Lots of great suggestions. I get that "wear" items are not warranty items. I don't see reflectors as a "wear" item. IMO, if putting your feet on the pedals can rip off the reflectors, your pedals are bad, which should be a warranty item.
