    It's hard to count the teeth since they're hidden behind a guard, but I do think it's a 42T. And as I said, I have to spin like crazy to get up to the 16-17 mph range. Maybe more hardcore cyclists are comfortable with that, but it's not a good match for me. The current gearing is only good...

    Nice! I was about to ask if it would work on a Gekko fx -- then I looked closer. ;) Your trike is probably not identical to an old fx but probably close? I can't read the brand on the mid drive. What's the drive, what's the battery, how much $$? Is it a kit or a collection of DIY parts...
