I’m confused. My Vado 5 IGH is a Class 3 e-bike which means I have assistance up to 28 mph from the factory. Are you not located in the US?

I have the same experience on my Vado. Solution: don’t pedal in the corners and place the inside pedal at the top-most position

The IGH models are back!

Probably not. Most watches don’t broadcast data to other devices, they only record and/or receive it. With my 2022 Vado 5, my HR monitor (Polar Verity) actually pairs to the Mission Control app, and then displays on the head unit.

Very impressive! How many miles total? And I agree that for commuting the IGH is perfect- I have the Vado 5 IGH. I often catch red lights while heading up steep hills, and not worrying about shifting while stopping and pulling away definitely makes it easier to focus on not getting run over…

I looked through all the display options and it does seem to be gone! Maybe it will come back in a future update…

It shows you where it is in the range- the relative ratio. I haven’t looked for this with the new app. I’ll try to remember next time I ride my 5.0 IGH.

I’ve got Crankbrothers Stamp flat 3 in large and they’ve been great. And some Five Ten shoes to with them. My feet never slip off the pedals!

So this version writes directly to Apple Health- good! Yet it doesn’t record HR even though it shows on the head unit- bad! Presumably that will be enabled in a future update. Seems like they released this app a few months too soon.

After too many foggy days, the sun finally emerged, so I went out for a nice 20 mi ride. That’s San Francisco in the background.

Why buy this bike if you don’t want automatic shifting? You could get the non-IGH Vado 5, or the non-automatic Vado 3 IGH.
