My wife and I are expecting delivery of our first Ebikes this June, from OHM Electric Bikes out of Vancouver. We have been enjoying numerous bike touring on standard bikes for a number of years. We do self guided tours. I plan the tours , where we are usually staying overnight at B & B’s along the way.
I’m pushing 70 and with my hip replacement 8 years ago, it was time to look to Ebikes to extend our biking years and plan trips without concern for the longer distances and aggressive hill climbs.
Our first and only experience with Ebikes was 4 years ago when we did a 15 day 1000 km bike tour through the Netherlands, Belgium and France, finishing in Paris. The Ebikes made the hills of rural France so much easier and the 85+ km days were manageable. (We got lost along the way a number of times).
I look forward to sharing our new Ebike experiences once we get our new OHM Electric bikes delivered this June and getting feed back from other Ebike owners and from EBR.
