    Just for fun...

I knew someone once who trapped one and ate it. Said it was rather like beef.

🙄 It makes no sense to rename Lake Ontario or the Gulf of Mexico!!

    Just for fun...

It doesn't need renaming. I saw a comment on an article about this latest fiasco "What's next? Will Canada geese now be called Donald ducks?"

Google maps now shows Lake Ontario as Lake America. 🫣😖 . Why do they pander to that buffoon???

FACTOID -- Men under 6ft always add 2 inches to their height on their driver's license, while women put their weight at 10lbs less than they are.

I think it is about the difference between a pound and a guinea. I never could understand why there was a unit of money 5% more the previous.

That is two steps. Also the slashes are confusing to me. I suppose you mean ÷... I want one step. I'm not that fusyy about the exchange rate going up or down a few points. I just want one factor to multiply the €2 price per litre by to come up with the price per gallon. Should I multiply $2.15...

    Anyone good at math?

No, that will give me the price in euros per gallon. I'm trying to find the one factor that will give me the equivalent cost in dollars per gallon. In other words, do both the currency exchange AND change of units with just one factor.

To return to our moutons... Gasoline is about €2 per litre. A euro is $1.15 today, so $2.30 per litre. 3.78 liters to a US gallon. So $2.30 x 3.78 = $8.69 per gallon. So with these figures, what do I multiply together to have a single figure by which I can figure out the $ per gal cost? (I...

"Then our teacher relented and asked,.. "Is there any other mistakes?" " Ummm, that should be "Are there any other mistakes?" But my mama was an English professor 😄. Jeremy, it is interesting that you see a lack of interest in STEM, whereas, coming from the social sciences and liberal arts, I...

    Anyone good at math?

Funny thing is, I got straight A's in algebra and geometry in high school, simply by doing my homework, and I credit it for my ability to think logically, but I didn't like it. A few years later I thought I'd get one of my distribution credits over with by taking Math 105 or whatever the lowest...

    Anyone good at math?

So now that I have a factor for quickly figuring €/kg ->$/lb, how do I do €/liter ->$/US gallon?

    Anyone good at math?

Now how would I do that backwards? Say I'm looking at peaches in the US for 4.50/lb. How do I get the rough per kg euro price? Double it I guess, yes?
