Chris is really great in that regard. I changed my mind multiple times during my build, and they were always really cool about accommodating me and getting me exactly what I wanted. I've got nothing but positive things to say about the whole experience.

That's a great bang for the buck system. 2000 watts should get you anywhere you need to go. The Thunderbolt motors have a faster wind so you'll get some decent top end speed too. Range is fully dependent on how much throttle you use. The mileage ratings you see are calculated using a 180 pound...

Ride Report for Falco Emotor Bike

I'll chime in too if you don't mind another opinion. I have the 500 watt motor and I think it's plenty of help for the kind of riding I do. Which sounds similar to the kind of riding you do. I have the same gearing with an 11/48 setup. My bike can do 35 mph with the 48V easily and I've topped...

Ride Report for Falco Emotor Bike

Really enjoying all the updates guys! My 48V, Falco 500 watt is still going strong. I'm really happy with my setup now that we've got it tweaked the way I want it. It's been rock solid all summer.

That's really cool Sal. My friend just got a fat bike and I think they're pretty cool. Lectricycles is a new one for me, so I'm off to go read up on them. Glad it all worked out for you. :)

Sure. It's their XC full suspension Mtn. Bike frame. It's made for them by KHS.

Where do you live Sal? I have a 5000 watt model HPC that I would let you ride (assuming you know what you're doing). In fact, that's mine in the photo right above your post. I'm in Cupertino. As for repairs? There's only three main parts. The Motor. The Battery. The Controller. All of those...

    Hi Power Cycles?

UPDATE: HPC was kind enough to upgrade me (at no charge) to their new more robust "Revolution 5.0 Motor". It included a free Wheelie upgrade. Definitely got my e-grin on today. :)

Really? I was thinking that wasn't too bad. I paid $100.00 to have a rim laced back in 1975. Considering how long it takes, I fully expected it to be a lot more now. I guess it probably depends on what part of the country you're in and what shop you use.
