    Another new TQ motor: hpr40

Well a couple of people have confirmed they can ride just on the range extender without main battery. Hopefully one of the brands will offer a lightweight road ebike with ability to remove the main battery without removing the motor. I would love to be able fly with my bike the way I can with...

    Another new TQ motor: hpr40

If you do would love to hear your impression. I have a BMC Roadmachine AmpX with the TQ50. Would be fun to see how much different the TQ40 feels on essentially the same bike.

No doubt there are locations where 1500W eMTB's are needed but that kind of power has to take a toll on trail quality and tranquility...

    Another new TQ motor: hpr40

Interesting question? When riding with no assist (not in level I,II,III) does the motor power down or does it continue to provide enough assist to achieve neutral torque to overcome internal mechanical losses? If not then when riding with no assist then I assume the rider would feel some drag...

    Another new TQ motor: hpr40

Slightly off topic but does anyone know if the TQ50 can operate just off the range extender without the main battery installed? Thinking ahead to cycling trips to Europe.. I hear people are flying with range extenders in carry on as they meet the max Ahr limit so wondering if could remove the...

    Another new TQ motor: hpr40

Does the motor mechanically disconnect or at cutoff does software reduce motor torque to achieve a neutral torque state? By neutral torque I mean it adds enough torque to overcome internal resistance of the motor (rider feels no drag when pedaling) but not so much to add meaningful assistance...

Using Di2 hood buttons to control motor assist level? YES AND SOLVED!

Thanks for the update. I also have the BMC Amp X. I wonder if you could use the unused shift signal for the front derailleur (Amp X is 1X drive train, no front derailleur) to cycle through assist levels similar to using the one button on the display. While upgrading from Rival to Force would be...

My mistake, I was confused by the different listings available.

Using Di2 hood buttons to control motor assist level? YES AND SOLVED!

I just purchased BMC Amp X with TQ50. No dealer near me so was thinking of buying a service dongle. Was also thinking of upgrading the Rival shifters to the AXS shifter with the hood buttons. Questions. I see there are different versions of the service dongle (V1, V2) . What is needed for...

    Another new TQ motor: hpr40

Quick note of thanks to all of you on this thread that helped me in the process of deciding if I should take the plunge and get an e-Road bike and which bike to start with! Its been an educational process! Deciding between an ultra lightweight TQ40 based bike or lightweight TQ50 bike was a hard...

User review BMC Roadmachine 01 AMP X with TQ HPR50

Great review. What's your opinion of the BMC ICS MTT redshift stem? Marketing hype or does it noticeably reduce road buzz and hand /forearm fatigue. Also is there room for spacers to fine tune the stack?

Help deciding when to switch to an ebike?

That is inspiring! I hope I am doing the same. Thanks
