Known Issues & Problems with Watt Wagons Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Got my new rack installed, went with Tubus Logo Classic, steel to try and avoid the aluminium fatigue cracking the killed the original rack. I love having the lower rail to attach the panniers to and still be able to take them one and off with a top bag installed...

Known Issues & Problems with Watt Wagons Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Had a funny bug come up with my new m620 motor controller. Not worried just thought it was funny, my new top speed is >4000 mph and I have really traveled an amazing distance. I have never actually seen odd numbers on the display, not sure what caused the weird numbers other than there must be...

    m620 reduced power issue

Awesome, when I have time I definitely am going to try this, super useful, thank you!

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

Yeah, currently I don't think my PAS 9 is aggressive enough since the power cut is very very noticable. I am pretty sure its new configuration/feature, not sure how new, my original WW motor (2019) certainly did not cut noticeably until probably 45-46v.

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

This doe appear to be a known issue, or rather very very conservative settings from Bafang (GBK sent me this where people talk about it: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2323768714344360/permalink/6771801029541084), its apparently expected behavior. A way to deal with is apparently is to set draw...

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

Well I finally have the motor disassembled, it was nearly impossible to get the that 16 tooth ring off and I ordered a terrible new tool for it. Disappointingly I can see nothing wrong with the controller boards, so now I have no idea what could be possibly wrong. I have not noticed any loose...

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

I did more testing, and while the motor does turn over with the use of the throttle, it is very very weak. Changing assist levels does nothing. I am guessing more than the torque sensor has gone wrong. Otherwise spent the weekend on house electrical work so I have (STILL) not yet dropped and...

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

Oh man! I did not see that the bolts have nuts under a cover on the left side! I just loosened from the right side, I bet its just the nut spinning, that is exciting.

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

First bolt I tried to remove to drop motor snapped. Any tips on how to prevent this? Any tips on fixing? (not sure where it is broken at this point)

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

GBK is frustrating me because their website was not working. I finally got it to work and selected fast shipping and now they say they are on holiday and will not ship for more than a week. Entirely defeating the point to paying for speeding shipping

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

Thanks, that is good to know. I am frustrated with the very very long delivery times for parts. Pretty inconvenient for a main method of transportation. Makes more sense now that some of you have multiple motors.

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

My Bafang m620 52v just failed, around 6180 miles. It just stopped providing assist on a hill, the motor make faint sounds like its starting up when I pedal but nothing more. I did find that walk mode works and when I got home an attached it the throttle works. The speedo work and turning the...

How big a market for step through?

Handling is something to keep in mind, though I am not sure how much it plays into things with lower speed less experienced riders. I certainly have noticed that on step though frames the feel of the bike tends to beach cruiser, hates high speed and manuvering. I found that to be unnerving. In...

Looking to place an order on an Ultimate Commuter Pro - brakes?

No idea about the Dominion's, but I am satisfied with the mt5s. I do have two minor gripes, I think the pads are heavily overpriced, best price I could get them for was 33 for a single set. That near car brake pad price, seems a bit much to me. Other thing is that I have noticed that towards...

Got my first flat on my Ultimate Commuter Pro

I have taken it off a couple of times. It's a a bit of a bear, particularly getting it back on as getting everything lined up is a challenge with how heavy the bike is, still wouldn't hire it out, it's a good thing to know how to do. I recommend an assistant or having a stand that allows...
