WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

My rohloff speedhub, has done well for me so far for about ~8000+ miles of high speed stop and go commuting (worn through 1 belt so far around 7500 mi). The oil maintenance is a bit annoying, the twist grip and the amount of force it requires even more so (I would love a paddle shifter, and...

    Battery starting to fail?

The percentages for my 52v UC Pro have never been accurate, I was advised to have it display voltage. The battery fullness image has also always been wildly inaccurate, generally displaying 1/2 to 3/4 full until diving to empty suddenly at the last 2 volts of charge left on the battery...

Known Issues & Problems with Watt Wagons Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Got my new rack installed, went with Tubus Logo Classic, steel to try and avoid the aluminium fatigue cracking the killed the original rack. I love having the lower rail to attach the panniers to and still be able to take them one and off with a top bag installed...

Known Issues & Problems with Watt Wagons Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Had a funny bug come up with my new m620 motor controller. Not worried just thought it was funny, my new top speed is >4000 mph and I have really traveled an amazing distance. I have never actually seen odd numbers on the display, not sure what caused the weird numbers other than there must be...

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

Yeah, currently I don't think my PAS 9 is aggressive enough since the power cut is very very noticable. I am pretty sure its new configuration/feature, not sure how new, my original WW motor (2019) certainly did not cut noticeably until probably 45-46v.

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

This doe appear to be a known issue, or rather very very conservative settings from Bafang (GBK sent me this where people talk about it: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2323768714344360/permalink/6771801029541084), its apparently expected behavior. A way to deal with is apparently is to set draw...

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

I had ordered a whole new motor and display, UART as that is what my wiring is. I emailed GBK and they said there is nothing to be done, the droppoff is programmed into the controller to "protect" the motor. I would guess they mean the controller, I guess controller failures are maybe due to...

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

Good idea, worth a shot. I figured there would be zero support. I tried emailing.

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

I am not talking about the % reading per se, I am talking about the battery icon, shows red, dead around 50v (I have screen configured to show volts). Which would not bother me to much, the annoying part is that there is a noticeable sever drop off in assist around ~48.5v. That did not happen...

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

Calibration display would be an annoying extra expense, sounds like it might need to try that if I cannot get into via PC

UC Pro Bafang UART motor failure

Interesting, it was sold as 48v/52v. I have not had any errors with fully charged 52v battery (58.8v). Would not a 48v have a lower cut off though and show the battery as fuller than it is? I am having the opposite issue where it thinks the battery is dead at 50v.
